NY Comicon was a rewarding and memorable trip! I've made some friends in the short time I've been working on vinyl toys and it was a pleasure to meet up direct. A handful of toy enthusiasts even flew in from all over the globe! Thanks so much to everyone who made this a great event for us. Extreme thanks go to Rumble Monsters, Toy Tokyo, Secret Base and of course Pushead & the Skeletal Crew!! The response has been amazing and thanks to Vinyl Pulse, ToyCyte, Hateball/Mishka for getting the word out on the internerds. Sorry if I accidentally forgot anything...
The Bop Dragon / Mini Damnedron sets came packed in a clear hand-paint bucket with a special mini-giclee in back. Here is a photo of the first NYCC Duo Set:
I also came home with a small amount of quality loot from the convention which I will post later.
Brian E. we love you.

On my way to the NYCC for the first time this February. I have finished some new handpainted RUMBLE MONSTERS Bop Dragon figures for Pushead's '92 Minutes of Pus' event at the Toy Tokyo Booth. A very limited amount of matching Bop Dragon / Mini Damnedron sets will be on display too. These sets will come with a signed/numbered mini-Giclee. Secret Base's Hiddy will also be on site with new amazing sale items. I will not be doing a signing appearance, but will be moshing thru con. Most likely I will be wearing a a Nuclear Assault t-shirt or something...

The true identity of the members of Goblin Cock has been guarded with total fracking secrecy. There have been rumors whispered of Rob Crow's involvement since he always seems to be on location at every single live performance. It's a longshot, but perhaps it came from the sticker placed on the cover of every CD that says 'Featuring Rob Crow of PINBACK'. It's a question shrouded in mystery.
Some have said the artwork for the cover of the new album 'Come with me if you want to live' contains %100 less Goblin Penis than the debut record 'Bagged & Boarded'(uncensored version). The true fan's trained eye would beg to differ with at least %15 of said statement. Judge for yourself buddy.
As an Illustrator I often use the finest quality reference material. Usually photoshoots last 10-12 hours: Setting up lighting, storyboarding, noon lunch break and guitar hero sessions in the van. Here for the first time we offer a glimpse at our delicate process:

'Come with me if you want to live!' To be released Jan. 27 2k9 on Robcore records. Also in January, look for the 'Cock across America' tour!
I am thrilled to be part of this project and I love this record. I think Rob, um, Lord Phallus has already completed the next album with a title I hesitate to mention here. Maybe later on...
Battle on,
Mike S.
(Sorry Mom...)

From Toybot Studios:
THE BOP DRAGON MIKE SUTFIN COLORWAY SAGA
Perhaps one of the craziest colorways to come out of the RUMBLE MONSTERS stable, this BOP DRAGON MIKE SUTFIN COLORWAY is going to have you scratching your head with variations. All part of the devious plan stirred up at the HOUSE of RUMBLE MONSTERS in Japan.
First, Mr. Sutfin created his colorway and through secret contacts and meetings (yours truly was privy to one such meeting...until they smacked me over the head), passed along the vinyl and paint directions along with special utensils to an agent for RUMBLE MONSTERS. From there....maybe it was the long hours and paint fumes....but it turned out something like this....all in very small (TINY!) quantities:
No Less Than Four (4) Different Versions:

SUTFIN US VERSIONS
*MS1 = PAINTED VERSION - Black, Day-glow Red, Silver Metallic and Iridescent white paint. Semi-transparent frosty yellow 'Lemonade' vinyl BOP. Includes both black tampos. Plus, the forehead tampo designs of all these PAINTED VERSIONS have been carefully embellished by Sutfin...with a few 'stitches'. Signed on the foot by Sutfin too!
*MS2 = UNPAINTED LEMONADE 2 TAMPO ONLY VERSION - Includes both black tampos on semi-transparent frosty yellow Lemonade vinyl BOP. There is NO paint on this version.....clean.
RUMBLE MONSTERS JAPAN VERSIONS
*RM3 = PAINTED NO TAMPO VERSION- Black, Day-glow Red, Silver Metallic and Iridescent white paint. Semi-transparent frosty yellow 'Lemonade' vinyl BOP....with NO tampos.
*RM4 = BLACKENED LEMONADE 2 TAMPO VERSION- Includes both black tampos on semi-transparent frosty yellow Lemonade vinyl BOP. This BOP has black paint sprayed over the entire figure, then wiped off gently leaving some paint in the cracks.
On top of all this.....Mr. Sutfin crafted out a beautiful special header card for all versions (besides the 2 tampo designs)!

Since Pushead's Skeletal Carival 3 during SDCC, RUMBLE MONSTERS and Sutfin have decided to continue their unholy collaboration of vinyl! This time, with iron determination, the two forces have combined their creative energies, giving birth to a new BOP DRAGON COLORWAY. Two extremely limited versions to be released: PAINTED VERSION & Unpainted LEMONADE VINYL 2 TAMPO ONLY. Two original illustrations were created for tampos, which are printed on the forehead and across the belly of each figure. Every Bop Dragon comes packaged with additional new artwork running horizontally on a special header card, with signature. Stay tuned for more fine tuned photos!
